Power Failure again!!!!

At the beginning I thought only Shah Alam was affected. I had a wonderful hot lunch(that means quite literally) and with sweats dripping like tap water....... then Adiba came to my rescue....

As I was driving past Kelana Jaya area, I saw petrol stations with notices that says can't pump fuel. Saw LRT train stuck quarter way before reaching platform of KJ station. Pity all those passengers. Traffic lites all gone. So driving was a little chaotic & dangerous. Post offices can't operate. ( was there earlier) . So did the atm machines...... neither my cellular phone worked...the network congested like hell.....

Then came the break news from Hitz FM, some power station failure in klang affected souhtern half of Malaysia...........and I thought whole nation were held hostage again due to problematic TNB....... had that bad experience during 1996 major blackout. Had to walk on KTM track for couples of KM.........

Somebody would be fired......like Tan Sri Ani Arope............ Could Che Khalib be made responsible now? We'll wait and see...

Something has got to change………..

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

I received sufficient Ringgit Malaysia to get myself 4 brand new books of classic literature ; The Tales of Two Cities, Oliver Twist, Great Expectation and the last piece was from Victor Hugo; Les Miserables………

Thanks to massive secularization of Christmas, I was able to celebrate with my mother and her husband, Uncle Chai. I am sure Danial appreciate his Christmas as well…….. This write up is dedicated to all those who came from families which rejoice inter-religious relationship by celebrating Christmas together.

New Year Resolution

Call it an iron man New Year resolution or whatever you like.
Next year, I aim to attempt all remaining ACCA level 2 papers in 1 sitting. I’m running out of time. The chances of me carrying all 4 papers at once are fairly ok, given the way I answered my exam questions recently. (For those who’re not familiar with ACCA study structure, no, definitely it’s not a good thing)

What I need is some semangat to feel that I’m good and the rest can fuck off and die!
Strong discipline and ultimate perseverance are rudimentary elements that I need to shove in. I had a lot of feedbacks from healthy skeptics suggesting that I don’t fit ACCA criteria. I am more “lawyerish” than “ACCAish” and I believe such opinions transpire because of my involvement in debates and the books that I read. It’s pretty tough to convince some accounting freaks that semantics skills, logical reasoning ability, development of opinion and perspectives and contemporary knowledge are indispensable. Which of course, being an average reasonable and well read tertiary students require interest in good literature material. Just imagine, my International Jews (by Henry Ford) has been circulating ACCA blocks couple of times for the past 6 months. It’s not that these people aren’t interested. It’s just that they don’t know what good books to read. Freedom of speech, discussing issues affecting us directly or indirectly are not mutually exclusive from acquiring technical knowledge or specific studies.

I have proven myself to some morons before when I scored A+ for my Company account and I’ll prove it again this time…..

2004 is certainly the year to be remembered. . . . . . . . .why?

I had managed to conduct SIFE Project in Mexico after months of red tapes nightmare coupled with extreme sleep deprivation.

Pick up a little bit of Spanish for survival, failed selection to SIFE World cup in Barcelona and lost to IIUM in the first ever Royals final which has UiTM team in it. I guess first runner up isn’t that bad after all.

The debate trip to UK saw us got tangled with British issues in Oxford and Cambridge was just too cold and bad lunches all week. Not to mention colossal politicking work involved before we were able to pick up flight ticket. I’ll teach all this civil servant a good lesson when I get my way up.

I am now stuck at crossroads again, figuring out which path shall lead me to my dream. Especially when the US students exchange program committee gave me green signal.

MMU Worlds 2005

I was mesmerized with Wu Meng’s test debate speech.

We were thrashed by Oxford Union and Melbourne University on debate about putting women on frontline and got fucked by Sydney Union when we went to debate room with absolutely no idea at all about the McCarthyism and extended on Communism containment policy. (I guess third plate is just fine)

New Year celebration was appalling! Just imagined 1000 over people crammed into 1 big bungalow (lets not mention the 1KM walks) and they called it as pure hedonistic fun?. . . .Sigh! . . . . . . . . They were being generous with boozes and shorties, that I was sure.......

My team broke for ESL. Sadly, it ends up as Worlds ESL Quarterfinalist. The good thing is, UiTM has two teams broke for ESL category and I think it’s a hell of improvement.

I thought dining experience in Six Happiness during Championship dinner was appalling as well, when we had some ane serving Briyani in an isolated halal area. Luckily, our UiTM junior bunch was extremely liberal; we moved to non halal section and get to taste best of both halal and non halal world. I salute you guys all!

MMU certainly went on with their cost cutting exercise and it becomes so apparent when they let 1000 over people straying after Grand Final and expect 250 cabs to come simultaneously and chauffeur the crowd away………. I’m sure with profits from worlds; MMU would be able to finance their participation for 4-5 Worlds ahead. Bravo!

We’ll leave for Sarawak VC CUP this coming Friday. Wish me all the best and good luck.
It' me and Danial again. Deja vue isn't it? We were in VC Cup Arau before, represented Kedah. Now we're Shah Alam A..........:)
